Women HERE, WHERE, an Outreach Auxiliary of I AM HERE Coalition

When it comes to the battle for a young person’s mental health and well-being, parents often feel they are in the fight alone. W·H·E·R·E hopes to change that by bringing together women to offer support, encouragement, and resources. W·H·E·R·E serves as an outreach arm of the I AM H·E·R·E Coalition, which is a collaborative, community-based effort focused on teen and young adult mental health. H·E·R·E stands for Help, Education, Resources and Education—four critical components that must be addressed to strengthen the network of mental health resources in our community.

On the first day of every month, W·H·E·R·E holds Coffee Days for women who would like to meet and talk. All women are welcome to participate, and no advance reservation is required. In addition to Coffee Days, the group plans to support the work of the I AM H·E·R·E Coalition through fundraising activities.

“I was inspired to launch W·H·E·R·E after a five-year personal journey. It became clear to me that there was an overwhelming need for an outreach group of support, resources, and encouragement for women. My goal is to provide community service through Coffee Days, public education, and support for the I AM H·E·R·E Coalition and other activities of the Grant Halliburton Foundation. I hope you will join us on this journey.” Barb Farmer, Founder
